FAQs
Each family and each home are unique. There are a number of factors that need to be discussed before a final quotation can be provided. Such as; size of your home, number of people, animals, lifestyle, frequency of cleaning, standard cleaning or specific needs etc. Each client will receive a free, no obligation, quotation meeting where all of these factors can be discussed.
You are under no contractual obligation, payment is usually made at the time of your scheduled cleaning. Client loyalty is very important to us and as such we will provide you with 100% satisfaction guarantee. We hope that you will continue to use our service because we make your life easier and you are happy with our work.
Payment is due at time of service. We accept cash, cheque, or credit card. If you will not be home at the time of your scheduled cleaning you can leave your payment in a sealed envelope marked for MVP Cleaning Services. If you prefer to pay by credit card a payment processing link will be sent to you via email several days before your cleaning service appointment, please follow the instructions in that email to make your payment. A $30.00 fee will apply to returned payments.

We generally don’t offer contracts as stated above. That being said if it’s in the best interest of our client and our company then we would consider this and I’m certain that a mutually beneficial arrangement could be made.
We would suggest that you do whatever makes you the most comfortable. The majority of our clients are not home during our scheduled cleanings but we respect that everyone feels differently about this so it’s entirely your choice. We are fully insured, and each cleaner has been through a police check.
Your keys will be stored in a safe in our office.
Only the manager can access the client key safe. The cleaning teams are given the keys for each home before they leave the office each day, and must return them to the office before leaving each evening. These keys are returned to the key safe until the next cleaning service. For additional security keys are labeled with a numerical code, the numerical code reference charge is stored separately from the keys.
Alarm codes and procedures are kept on file in a secure file in our office. As long as the procedures for deactivating and setting the alarm are simple we will have our cleaners trained in its use. If however the system is a complicated one we ask that the alarm is left off prior and after our visit. There are many types of systems and our service providers cannot hope to know how to operate each type so there will be situations where accidents occur. We will not pay for any cost incurred by our customers from the accidental activation of the alarm or the consequences as a result.
During your complimentary consultation availability and preferences will be discussed. We will do our best to accommodate your special requests. Residential cleaning is primarily completed (unless otherwise arranged) during business hours (8:00am – 5:00pm) Monday to Friday. Cleaning schedules for our business customers will also be discussed during consultation. Unfortunately factors such as traffic and weather are out of our control but we will always strive to be on time for our scheduled cleanings.
Stuff happens, we completely appreciate that. If you need to reschedule, cancel, or change your cleaning arrangements please contact our office directly. Leaving a note for your cleaner is not a recommended method of contacting us for such arrangements. Our cancellation policy requires that you provide us with 48 hours’ notice. We don’t like charging this cancellation fee so please contact us as soon as possible to make the appropriate arrangements.
If your scheduled cleaning falls on a statutory holiday we will contact you to reschedule.
If you wish to proceed with your scheduled cleaning service no special arrangements are necessary and payment process will be the same, payment due on service day. If you wish to make alternate arrangements please contact us as soon as possible.
MVP will bring all supplies and equipment, with the exception of a vacuum, to clean your home. We will be happy to accommodate special requests to use your own preferred cleaning supplies as long as safety regulations allow. We prefer to use the homeowners/businesses vacuum but arrangements can be made if necessary.
Please let us know if you have pets and provide any information regarding them that would be helpful for us during our initial consultation. If it’s possible, we prefer that pets are away from the areas we clean, to allow us to clean your home better and more efficiently. We also provide many pet lovers with specific services related to their pet, walk, run in the yard, etc. This can be discussed during the consultation but we are pet lovers so please be assured that your pet will be well respected by our team.
Quality is a huge priority for us, so if you are unhappy then we are unhappy, our service is 100% satisfaction guaranteed. If you are unhappy please contact us as soon as possible so that we can remedy the issue. With every visit you have a chance to provide feedback to help us improve the level of service we provide you. If you are not happy with the work, please call us within 24 hours. If you have a concern with your specific cleaner please contact us, in confidence, and we can make appropriate arrangements. A lot of time and effort go into our employee selection and training, feedback of a good and not so good nature is important to us!
We are very careful in each home, but accidents can happen. We will contact you as soon as possible and will have the item repaired or replaced.
This is entirely up to you – tipping is not necessary or expected, but would be very much appreciated. If you do choose to leave a tip, cash is preferable – it will be shared equally by your cleaning team. A note to the team when they impress you would be most welcomed. Your cleaners receive bonuses based on your feedback, so please call don’t hesitate to share your thoughts with us!
